Hello, my name is shamim panchbhaya and I am an active and deeply rooted member of my community.
To me becoming a community champ is a natural progression for the next chapter in my life.
As a retired post mistress I currently have the honor of being an ambassador for the Octagon Theatre, which I love and have passion for.
I enjoy inspiring the next generation by promoting health and hygiene at every available opportunity and by running a homework club as well as teaching them crafts such as baking, cross stitch and crochet. I have also introduced the theatre to those in my community, who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to experience.
My pet hate is cooking and cliff hangers.
I feel I have had a productive day when I have put a smile on someone’s face. No task is too small even if it means helping a mum by watching her children so she can enjoy a shower uninterrupted or she needs to go on the school run.
I hope I can do justice to this amazing opportunity.
